Jacques Kallis top-scored with 69 and Faf du Plessis hit a run-a-ball 52 as South Africa raced to 8-284 after Graeme Smith won the toss and elected to bat first. Needing a win to have any chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals, Bangladesh produced an abject batting display to be all out for 78.

The bus carrying the West Indies players has been stoned on its way back to the team hotel after they thrashed Bangladesh by nine wickets in Mirpur. A Bangladesh police official said the fans had mistaken the West Indies bus for the Bangladesh bus. The West Indies had produced a thumping performance to beat Bangaldesh by 9 wickets in their World Cup Group B match at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka earlier.

Bangladesh were dismissed for 58, its lowest score in a World Cup. They were blown out inside 19 overs on a decent pitch to finish with the fourth lowest total in World Cup history. West Indies, led by Chris Gayle with 37 not out, took less than 13 overs to reach the winning target.

Bangladesh spinners, so ineffective against India, rediscovered their magical touch on Friday to fashion an exciting 27-run win over Ireland in a low-scoring Group B match of the 2011 World Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Shafiul Islam, who passed a last minute fitness test, took four wickets for 10 runs in five overs to send Ireland crashing to a 27 runs defeat as Bangladesh ended three years, 10 months and 10 days of waiting for revenge for their defeat at the last World Cup in Barbados.

Andre Botha (3-32) was the pick of the Irish bowlers, but they were reduced to 110-5 in reply on a slow pitch. Niall O'Brien (38) and Kevin O'Brien (37) got the Irish close, but they were 178 all out.

ICC World Cup Match 1, India v Bangladesh, Group B - Sehwag and Kohli set up massive win for India

India defeated Bangladesh by 87 runs in the first match of the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Opener Virender Sehwag ignored an injury to smash 175 - his second World Cup century - to lift India to a massive 370-4 on Saturday at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirapur, Dhaka. He added 203 runs with Virat Kohli for the third wicket with the latter also completing a century in the final over. Kohli finished on 100 not out off 83 balls in his World Cup debut.

Bangladesh made 283 for nine in 50 overs with opener Tamim Iqbal top scoring with 70 and captain Shakib-al-Hasan scoring 55. For India, pacer Munaf Patel picked up four for 48 from 10 overs. Earlier Bangladesh Captain Shakib won the toss and put India to bat.

India takes on Bangladesh in the 2011 World Cup opener on Saturday in Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium with a chance to exact revenge for a shock loss in the previous edition four years ago which ensured India's early exit in the first round of the 2007 tournament in the Caribbean. On paper, the day-night clash may look like a no-contest with tournament favourites India having won 20 of their 22 one-day matches against the Tigers.

India have enjoyed an impressive run over the last three years, which has taken Dhoni's men to the top of the Test rankings and made them number two behind Australia in the one-dayers. With Sehwag, Sachin, Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh adding to a top-heavy line-up and Dhoni and the explosive Yusuf Pathan coming down the order, Harbhajan Singh has been pushed to number eight despite two Test centuries to his credit.

Man of the match Craig Kieswetter scored a wonderful half century (63) to steer his team to a comprehensive 7 wicket victory over Australia after England bowlers restricted them to just three sixes and ten fours in 20 overs. The current 50 overs World Cup and Champions Trophy holders Australia could only score 147 for six, with David Hussey's 59 the top score.

Looking for their first ever Cricket World Cup win (in any format), South Africa-born batsmen Kevin Pietersen (47) and Craig Kieswetter were involved in a 111-run partnership for the second wicket. Pietersen was named man of the tournament for scoring 248 runs.

World Twenty20 2010 Final: England 148/3 (Craig Kieswetter 63, Kevin Pietersen 47) beat Australia 147/6 (David Hussey 59) by seven wickets.

Group Stage match 4: Pakistan hold off Tigers

Defending champions Pakistan survived a spirited Bangladesh fight-back to win their opening World Twenty20 in a Goup A match. Openers Salman Butt (73) and Kamran Akmal (73) set up the victory as they both hit 73 to help Pakistan to an imposing 172 for three.
Mohammad Ashraful (65) and skipper Shakib Al Hasan (47) kept the Tigers alive though, putting on 91 runs for the third wicket. Mohammad Sami removed the dangerous Shakib and Mahmudullah in the same over before getting Mushifuqur Rahim caught in the deep to finish with figures of three for 29.

Dhaka Test, 4th day: India complete series sweep as Zaheer routs Bangladesh (BAN-IND: 0-2|2)

Indian left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan claimed three wickets in four balls in a dramatic spell at Dhaka as the home side collapsed from their overnight score of 228/3 to 312 all out in the first over after lunch. Khan added four more wickets to his three overnight to end with a career-best seven for 87 in the second innings and 10 wickets in the match.
India knocked off the two runs required to raise a comprehensive 10-wicket victory with a full day and close to two sessions to spare.

Zaheer Khan won both the man of the match and the man of the series awards. With this win, the Indians made a clean-sweep of the series, winning it 2-0 after also winning both their ODIs against Bangladesh in the tri-series earlier.

Dhaka Test, 3rd day: India gain huge lead after Dhoni's 89

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (89) struck a half century as India declared their first innings at 544 for eight at lunch on the third day. Dhoni got good support from Ishant Sharma (13) and the duo added 51 runs for the seventh wicket. After Ishant's dismissal, Dhoni and Pragyan Ojha (1) scored 26 runs. Yuvraj Singh didn't bat due to a ligament tear in his left wrist, and has been ruled out for the rest of the ongoing second Test.

India's lead of 311 was reduced to 84 as Tamim hit a brisk 151 and was involved in a 200-run stand with Junaid Siddique (55). The stand between Iqbal and Siddique is the highest ever for Bangladesh for any wicket. At stumps, Bangladesh were 228 for three.

Rahul Dravid, who was admitted to a Dhaka hospital with a suspected fractured jaw after being struck by a deadly bouncer on the second day was released on Tuesday. He is returning to India.

Dhaka Test, 2nd day: Gambhir miss record; Dravid in hospital

Sachin Tendulkar (143) cracked his 45th Test century and Rahul Dravid (111*) his 29th hundred as India posted a massive 459/5 in their first innings at stumps on the second day in reply to Bangladesh's modest total of 233. Gautam Gambhir (68) missed out on equalling Sir Don Bradman's record of six 100s in consecutive Test matches, but equalled the record for most consecutive half-centuries in Tests - 11, with Viv Richards. He and Virender Sehwag (56) put on 103 for the opening wicket before Tendulkar and Dravid consolidated their team's position with a 222-run stand for the third wicket. In doing so, they registered the world record for most century partnerships by any pair in Test Cricket. They now have seventeen 100-plus partnerships, one more than the Australian pair of Mathew Hayden and Ricky Ponting and West Indians Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes.

Dravid, who was struck on the helmet while avoiding a bouncer from paceman Shahadat Hossain, was taken to a nearby hospital and has been kept under observation. His 188-ball knock of 111 included 12 fours.

2nd Test, Dhaka, 2nd day: India 459/5 (Tendulkar 143, Dravid 111 retd hurt, Gambhir 68) lead Bangladesh 233 by 226 runs

Dhaka Test, 1st day: Mahmudullah miss ton, India on top

After bowling out Bangladesh for 233, India ended Day one of the 2nd Test at 69/0. Mahmudullah, the number eight batsman, with the tail for company, hit an unbeaten 96 to lift the Bangladesh total beyond the 200-run mark after the Indian pace duo of Zaheer Khan (3-62) and Ishant Sharma (4-66) picked up seven wickets to crush the top order. They were 51/5 at one stage.
Mahmudullah added 78 with the last two batsmen, with Shafiul Islam defying India for 39 balls and Rubel Hossain keeping out 25.

In reply, India knocked off 69 runs from just 13 overs, with Virender Sehwag cruising to 41 not out (40 balls, 6 fours). Gautam Gambhir is on 26 (38 balls, 4 fours). It was their fifth consecutive 50 partnership for India.
The wicket is expected to turn as the match progresses.

Dhaka Test: India aim for whitewash

MS Dhoni is back in the team in place of Karthik after recovering from his back strain while Pragyan Ojha and Murali Vijay replace Amit Mishra and Laxman respectively for the second Test in Mirpur. Harbhajan Singh will also be in the middle of action after recovering from his stiff neck.

Chittagong Test, 5th day: India defeat Bangladesh by 113 runs (BAN-IND: 0-1|2)

India on Thursday won the first Test against Bangladesh at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium by 113 runs. Chasing an improbable 414 runs for victory, Bangladesh were bowled out for 301. Bowlers Amit Mishra (4-92) and Ishant Sharma (3-48) shared seven wickets. The only consolation for Bangladesh was an entertaining 101 by wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim.

The second and final Test starts in Dhaka on Sunday.

Chittagong Test, 4th day: Gambhir's ton puts India in total command

Gautam Gambhir became the fourth batsman to hit centuries in five tests in a row as he put India firmly in control of the first test against Bangladesh.
Gambhir joined Don Bradman, Jacques Kallis and Mohammad Yousuf when he made 116 off 129 balls as India declared on 413/8. The Indian record was held by Rahul Dravid, who hit four centuries in four straight Tests.
Amit Mishra hit his maiden Test fifty (50) and Vangipurappu Laxman added 69 not out, enabling India to post an imposing target of 415 for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh were reduced to 67 for two at the close of play, with pacemen Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma taking one wicket apiece. Tamim Iqbal (23) and Mohammad Ashraful (16) were the not-out batsmen when stumps were drawn.

Chittagong Test, 3rd day: India take control in Bangladesh Test

Mohammad Mahmudullah (63 not out) hit a maiden half-century and added 108 for the seventh wicket with Mushfiqur Rahim (44) to help the hosts recover from 98-6. Bangladesh were all out for 242 - one run less than India's first innings total.
Zaheer Khan (3/54) and Amit Mishra (3/66) were the main wicket-takers, while Ishant Sharma finished with 2 for 47 and S Sreesanth with 2 for 55.

India finished the day on 122 for the loss of Sehwag's wicket in their second innings. Sehwag (45) and Gautam Gambhir (47 not out) gave the team a solid start, putting on 90 runs for the first wicket. Nightwatchman Amit Mishra is unbeaten on 24 off 21 balls.

Chittagong Test, 2nd day: Tendulkar gets 44th ton, Bad light force early stumps

Sachin Tendulkar's 44th Test century (105*), helped India to reach a first-innings total of 243 as the tourists struggled against the inspired form of Bangladesh attack duo Shahadat Hossain and Shakib Al Hasan, who each completed five-wicket hauls.

Bangladesh came out to bat for 4 overs before the lunch break and stamped their authority on the game even further racing to 21. All the runs flowing off Tamim Iqbal's blade.
However, the last three overs before what turned out to be the close of play yielded a wicket each. Yesterday, starting from the 15th over, India lost three wickets for six runs, today, Bangladesh lost three for five.

Chittagong Test, 1st day: 'Ordinary' Bangladesh reduce India to 213 for 8

Sachin Tendulkar (77*), playing his 266th innings in Test cricket - most by any batsman, hit his 55th Test half-century, and also became the first to cross 13,000 runs in Tests, saved the day for India after Shahadat Hossain (4/51) and Shakib Al Hasan (4/52) mowed down the top and middle order for Bangladesh in the first cricket Test in Chittagong. Captain Sehwag had earlier derided the hosts as an ordinary side, questioning their ability to take 20 wickets.

The Indians got off to a flying start, with an opening partnership of 79 runs in just 15 overs from Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir (23), before losing six wickets in the post-lunch session.

In 162 Tests, Tendulkar has scored at an average of 54.72 with 43 centuries. In 440 ODIs, Tendulkar has amassed 17,394 runs with 45 tons and 93 half-centuries. He is the highest scorer in both Tests and ODIs.

Dhoni to miss first Test against Bangladesh

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has again been ruled out of a Test match because of back spasms, and Virender Sehwag will be leading the newly crowned number one test team. Sehwag, meanwhile, angered the hosts by terming the tigers as an “ordinary side” adding they do not have the bowling power to take 20 Indian Test wickets. India's batting has been reinforced with the return of veterans Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Venkatsai Laxman.

In reply, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan said that his team is capable of giving a good fight. He added, "India have been ranked number one only recently. I think South Africa and Australia are much better than them."

Bangladesh Tri Series - 2010 Schedule

Bangladesh will host a tri-nation one-day international series featuring India and Sri Lanka in January next year in Dhaka, the BCB has announced. Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka in the opening match on January 4 and the two top teams will face off in the final on January 13. Each team will play the other twice, all day-night games.

Dhaka Tri-series Final: Raina ton in vain as Sri Lanka lift trophy

Sri Lanka won the 'Idea Cup' tri-nations series by beating India in a one sided ODI finals by 4 wickets. Batting first after losing the toss, India were reduced to 16/3, losing Gambhir (1) in the first over, Virat Kohli (2) and Yuvraj Singh (0) in quick succession. Dhoni (17) and Sewag (42) tried to resurrect the innings, but also fell to the pace of Man of the Match Nuwan Kulasekara (4/48) and Chanaka Welegedara (3/53). India were struggling at 60/5 in the 11th over, before Suresh Raina (106) hammered a brilliant ton to help India towards 245 in 48.2 overs. It was his first ODI century against serious opposition, the first two coming against Hong Kong and Bangladesh.

Sangakkara (55), Dilshan (49), Jayawardene (71*) and Samarveera (27) lead Sri Lanka to victory.
Sri Lanka brought in Nuwan Kulusekara in place Suranga Lakmal while India made three changes in the side with Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan back in the team in place of Dinesh Karthick, Amit Mishra and Sudeep Tyagi.

Dhaka Tri-series Match 6: India beat Bangladesh by six wickets

Virat Kohli struck an unbeaten century (102* off 95 balls) - his second - as India cruised to a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the final and inconsequential league match of the Idea Cup at Mirpur. Gautam Gambhir added 41 while fellow opener Dinesh Karthik scored 34 and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni 32. With 2 wins in 2 days, India topped the group table with 13 points from 4 games while Sri Lanka lagged along to the second place with 12 points from 4 games.

Earlier, Bangladesh had slumped to 95-5 after being put in to bat by India captain Dhoni. Skipper Shakib-Al-Hasan's 85 off 97 balls and Mahmudullah's unbeaten 64 off 80 lifted Bangladesh to 247-6.

Dhaka Tri-series Match 5: India beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets

India booked a place in the final of the tri-series as they beat Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in a one-sided encounter at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. The Indian batsmen chased down the 214-run target with more than 17 overs to spare after the bowlers had restricted the Lankans to a paltry 213 in the first session. Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir top scored for the Indians with 71 each. The opening pair of Gambhir and Dinesh Karthik took the score past the 50-run mark in just the 7th over of the innings.

Earlier, Sri Lanka who won the toss and batted were 84 for 6 at one stage, after which it was a struggle to last 50 overs. Kumar Sangakkara top scored for the Lankans with 68, while Man of the Match Zaheer Khan and Mishra bagged three wickets apiece for India.

Dhaka Tri-series Match 4: Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by nine wickets

Sri Lanka openers Upul Tharanga (118* off 126) and Mahela Jayawardene (108 off 117) both smashed centuries to guide their team to a nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the fourth one-day international of the tri-series at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Sri Lanka cruised to 252-1 in 42.5 overs for its third win in the series after Bangladesh had earlier posted 249-9. With this win, they have secured a place in the final.
Jayawardene hit his 12th one-day ton, while Man-of-the-match Tharanga recorded his eighth ODI hundred.

Bangladesh Cricket Board move series start times

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has brought forward the start of matches in the one-day triangular series with Sri Lanka and India in an effort to reduce the effect of dew on the result of games. All matches played so far have overwhelmingly favoured teams batting second as the dew made it difficult for bowlers of the team fielding second to grip the ball. This came in for severe criticism from the captains of the three teams.
Rest of the matches will begin 30 minutes earlier than the originally scheduled 2.30 pm local-time start.

Dhaka Tri-series Match 3: India beat Bangladesh by six wickets

Captain MS Dhoni made 101 off 107 balls and was involved in a 152-run fourth-wicket stand with Virat Kohli (91 off 102 balls) to lead India to a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the Tri-Series on Thursday. India was reeling at 51 for three when Dhoni came into bat. His seventh one-day century, assisted by Suresh Raina who made an unbeaten 51 off 43 balls, helped India overhaul Bangladesh's total of 296 for six with more than two overs to spare.

Earlier, Bangladesh stand-in skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss in the afternoon, and surprised everyone by deciding to have a bat on a track that has seen the side chasing win each of the two matches in the tournament so far. Half-centuries from Tamim Iqbal (60 off 42 balls), Imrul Kayes (70 off 100 balls) and Mahmudullah (60* off 45 balls) helped Bangladesh post their highest one-day total against India.

Dhaka Tri-series Match 2: Sri Lanka beat India by five wickets

Chanaka Welegedara took five wickets and Thilan Samaraweera (105* from 106) smashed an unbeaten century to help Sri Lanka outclass India by five wickets in the second One-Day International of the Tri-Nation Tournament in Dhaka. All-rounder Thissara Perera took the game away from India as he blazed 36 from just 15 deliveries, hitting six boundaries and a six, and was involved in an unbroken stand of 57 runs in 4.3 overs for the fifth wicket with Samaraweera.

For India, Yuvraj Singh hit an 84-ball 74, which included six fours and two successive sixes. He also featured in a 99-run fourth wicket stand with skipper MS Dhoni who made 37.

Chasing Bangladesh's competitive total of 260 for seven, Tillakaratne Dilshan smashed his sixth one-day century - 104 off 122 balls including 12 boundaries - to put his team on course for victory. His 148 run partnership with captain Kumar Sangakkara (74 off 73 balls) for the second wicket ensured Sri Lanka a 7 wicket victory. For Bangladesh, Mohammad Ashraful made a brilliant 75.

India ODI's Team Leaves for Bangladesh Tri-series

The Indian team left for Dhaka Saturday morning to participate in the three-nation 'Idea Cup' with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, starting from Monday. Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led squad will begin its campaign in the tournament on January 5 against Sri Lanka.

The West Indies romped to a five-wicket victory over Bangladesh, finally winning its first match in the series after the visitors had swept the preceding test and one-day series.
Bangladesh who won the toss and elected to bat, were in trouble when three wickets fell in five balls with the score at 12. Captain Shakib-al-Hasan and Naeem Islam revived the visitors in a fourth-wicket stand of 31. Wickets continued to fall including four run-outs.

The West Indies' reply got off to a dreadful start as Dale Richards was bowled first ball. Devon Smith smashed three fours and two sixes in his 37, while Travis Dowlin finished unbeaten on 37 as the Caribbean second-string cruised to their first victory.

Chasing 249 the Tigers survived a tense finish to complete unprecedented one-day whitewash of hosts West Indies after winning the final of the series by three wickets at Warner Park in St. Kitts on Friday. They reached the target with seven balls to spare.
All-rounder Mahmudullah, who earlier took 2-38 to restrict West Indies to 248 all out in 48.5 overs, hit an unbeaten 51 to push Bangladesh to 3-0 series sweep. He won the Man of the match award. Captain Shakib Al Hasan won the Man of the series.

Captain Shakib-al-Hasan scored 65 off 61 balls and Mohammad Ashraful hit 64 off 77 deliveries.

Bangladesh beat West Indies for the first time in a one-day international, winning by 52 runs Sunday after left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak took 4-39 to help dismiss West Indies for 194 in 43.4 overs at Windsor Park.

Earlier, Bangladesh made 246 for nine. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan continued his good form with a half-century (54 from 60 balls) to build on Mohammad Ashraful's 57 from 95 balls. Kemar Roach took 5-44 for West Indies.
The second match in the three-match series is at the same venue on Tuesday.

Grenada Test, Day Four - Al Hasan leads Tigers to first away test series win (BAN 2:0|2)

Bangladesh claimed their first overseas test series win with a four-wicket win over a weakened West Indies in Grenada.
Acting captain for the test, left-arm spinner Al Hasan, ended with figures of five for 70 as Bangladesh bowled out West Indies for 209 in the morning session. It was the first time Bangladesh had bowled out the opposition for less than 250 in both innings.
Chasing a target of 215 to win, Al Hasan and Raqibul Hasan (65) put on 106 for the fifth wicket to take the tourists close to the target. Sammy took five for 55, but the Tigers comfortably secured their third test win as Al Hasan smashed Roach for a six to finish on 96 not out, and take his team to 217-6 in 54.4 overs.

Grenada Test, Day Three - Bernard's 61 boosts Windies

David Bernard hit an unbeaten 61 as West Indies limped to 192/8 on the rain-affected third day of the second Test against Bangladesh. The hosts started the day on 56 for one but lost wickets too easily against the Bangladesh spinners. Shakib with four for 61 from 22 overs had the best figures of the day.

Grenada Test, Day Two - West Indies stifle the Tigers

West Indies were 56 for one, a lead of 61 at stumps on the second day of the second and final Test against Bangladesh. Bangladesh, 35-1 overnight in reply to West Indies' first innings of 237, fell five runs short, after a superb exhibition of pace bowling by 21-year-old Kemar Roach, who grabbed six for 48.

Grenada Test, Day One - Bangladesh spinners dominate

Guyanan veteran Travis Dowlin fell five runs short of a maiden Test century as Bangladesh's spinners dominated day one of the second Test in an almost empty stadium in Grenada.
The three Bangladesh spinners led by Mahmudullah (3-44) collected three wickets each as the hosts were dismissed for 237.

Bangladesh, who won the first Test in St Vincent, lost opener Imrul Kayes, caught behind off Sammy, as they moved to 35 for one in the ten over session before the close.

Bangladesh win historic away Test (BAN 1:0|2)

Debutant off-spinner Mahmudullah Riyad finished with a fantastic haul of 5-51 as Bangladesh won the first Test against West Indies on the fifth and final day by 95 runs after dismissing the home side for 181 in 70.1 overs at Kingstown.
Set 277 to win, the home side crumbled to 181 all out, with only David Bernard (52 not out) providing any resistance. In the morning session, Bangladesh lost their last five wickets for 23 runs to finish on 345 with Darren Sammy claiming 5-70.

It was the Tiger's second Test win in their 60-Tests, and the maiden victory on foreign soil. Their first success in the Test version was on January 10 2005 when they beat Zimbabwe by 226 runs in Chittagong. They became a full test-playing nation only nine years ago.

Bangladesh Cricket Team will tour Caribbean in early part of July to play two test match series, three ODI’s and one T20I.
Bangladesh tour will begin from 3rd of July with the three day tour game. First match of the two match test series will begin from 9th of July at St. Vincent Stadium. Second Test match will be played at Grenada from 17th to 21st of July. After the two match test series Bangladesh will play three ODI’s on 26th, 28th, and 31st of July and their tour will conclude with a Twenty20 International to be played on the 2nd of August at St Kitts.

Bangladesh crashes out of the World Twenty20

Ireland beat Bangladesh just like they did in the 2007 World Cup in West Indies, and moved into the second stage of the World Twenty20 at the expense of Bangladesh. Bangladesh started with a bang, hitting 30 of their first 39 runs in boundaries, but lost wickets at regular intervals to end their innings with a modest 137/8.
In reply, Ireland reached 138 for four with 10 balls remaining following an aggressive exhibition of hitting from Kevin O`Brien. His unbeaten 39 from 17 deliveries included four fours and two sixes.
Ireland will now join India in the Super 8's from Group A.

India overcame a hardworking Bangladesh line-up in a Group A encounter at Nottingham, riding on Yuvraj's quickfire 41 off 18 balls, and Man-of-the-match Ojah's 4 wickets in 4 overs.
India were dawdling along in the middle overs as Dhoni and Gambhir struggled to find boundaries. Yuvraj hit 4 sixes and 3 fours to take India from 112 to 157 in under 4 overs.
This was the first Twenty20 meeting between India and Bangladesh.

Pakistan tour of Bangladesh postponed

Pakistan's forthcoming tour of Bangladesh has been postponed due to security concerns.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board says the tour has been postponed on the advice of the government, although they have refused to say whether the decision was connected to the Lahore attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team or to the recent violence in Bangladesh.
The Pakistan team was scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on Saturday for two Twenty20 matches and five one-day internationals. Pakistan and Bangladesh are co-hosts, along with India, for the 2011 World Cup.
In February, a mutiny by Bangladesh Rifles border guards over pay and command structure resulted in widespread violence that killed at least 80 people that included more than 50 officers.

Zimbabwe in Bangladesh Cricket Series 2008-09

BAN v ZIM, 3rd ODI, Mirpur: Bangladesh wins one-day cricket series (BAN 2:1)

Bangladesh comfortably beat Zimbabwe by six wickets Friday to clinch their three-game limited-over cricket series 2-1.
In a match reduced to 37 overs per side after morning fog, Zimbabwe was sent in and recorded 119-9, with Bangladesh reaching 121-4 with more than four overs to spare.
Bangladesh was steered to victory by all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan (33 not out) and Mushfiqur Rahim ( 20 not out). Hasan was named player of the series, with Mashrafe bin Mortaza taking man of the match honours after destroying Zimbabwe's top order and helping reduce the visitors to 69-5. Mortaza (3-26) struck early, trapping Visu Sibanda (0) lbw with the fifth ball of the match.
He then dismissed Hamilton Masakadza (10) and Stuart Matsikenyeri (10) to put Bangladesh firmly in control. Masakadza tried to play a short ball but failed to adjust and the ball took the shoulder of the bat, presenting a catch to Mehrab Hossain at second slip. Matsikenyeri was clean bowled.
Hasan (3-15), who has been ranked as the top one-day all-rounder by the International Cricket Council, bowled Elton Chigumbura (7) then removed Ray Price (7) and had Ed Rainsford (1) stumped by wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. Sean Williams was the best of Zimbabwe's batsmen with 38.
In reply, Bangladesh lost Mehrab Hossain and captain Mohammad Ashraful cheaply, but a 34 from Tamim Iqbal provided the basis of the run chase. The hosts slipped to 89-4 but Zimbabwe could not get further breakthroughs to expose Bangladeh's tail, as Hasan and Rahim guided the home team to victory.
